Joined when we had 20 million daily users. Left with 170+ million. Somewhere in there, I learned how to scale products.

Challenge

Brand
The highlight of my time at Mindgeek was definitely working on Pornhub. I know it’s taboo. But from a design and data perspective, it was genuinely fascinating. When you’re a data-driven designer and see the scale of that traffic, you can’t help but get curious.

When I took over the brand, I gave the identity a subtle refresh modernizing the logo and fine-tuning the color palette. Nothing too wild, but enough to make it feel sharper, stronger, and just a bit more approachable (yes, even Pornhub can be friendly).

Mobile
When I joined, the mobile site was behind a paywall users got just a few free views. We removed the barrier, went ad-supported, and traffic exploded. Monthly users grew 750%, from 20M to 170M, with mobile making up 90% of that.

Context

Premium
I led design for the premium version of the site, building the entire experience from the ground up with a strong focus on user-centered design. Through extensive A/B testing, we launched a landing page that converted at 62%. Instead of relying on dark patterns and overpriced subscriptions common in the space, we took a bold, transparent, and frictionless approach: $7.99/month, cancel anytime. Think Netflix, but… you know.

By addressing real user pain points and prioritizing clarity and trust, we launched strong generating millions in revenue in the first month and delivering a premium product people genuinely wanted.

Player
Working on a player used by millions was truly inspiring, and for once, we launched a feature before YouTube did. The product is simple but powerful, reducing cognitive load: it uses a graph to highlight key moments, helping users quickly find exactly what they’re looking for — making the experience intuitive and efficient.

Outcome

Stream
We built a platform that enabled stars to earn extra income by hosting live shows. They could announce events on social media or within the platform, engaging customers via video and chat. Fans could send tips and interact directly.

Our design process was deeply user-centered, we interviewed many performers, involved them at every stage, and took their feedback seriously to ensure the product truly met their needs. This iterative approach helped us create an experience that was both intuitive and empowering for creators.

  • Messaging: Redesigned the entire messaging experience to focus on clarity and control, including features that let stars mass message specific groups.

  • TV: Designed the full user experience.

  • Web: Led design efforts across the entire web presence, even the tough parts.
